Preparation
Cleanliness and Purification:- Ensure the pooja area is clean and well-decorated, Bathe and wear clean, preferably traditional, attire
Gather Pooja Items:- Shiva Lingam (or an image of Lord Shiva), Flowers, Diya (oil lamp), Incense sticks, Water, milk, honey, and sugar, Fresh fruits and sweets, Bilva leaves (Aegle marmelos), White cloth or a fresh saree for the deity
Performing the Pooja
Setup:- Place the Shiva Lingam or image of Lord Shiva on the altar, Decorate the altar with flowers and rangoli (colorful patterns).
Ganesh Pooja:- Start by offering prayers to Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles. Light the diya and incense sticks, and recite Ganesh Vandana.
Rudrabhishek Ritual:
Abhishekam (Bathing the Shiva Lingam):- Begin with offering water to the Shiva Lingam, followed by milk, honey, and sugar. This is done in a specific sequence, typically starting with water.
While performing the abhishekam, chant "Om Namah Shivaya" or other Rudra mantras.
Bilva Patra Offering:- Offer Bilva leaves to Lord Shiva. It is considered very auspicious and is believed to bring divine blessings.
Apply Sandalwood Paste and Vermilion:- Apply sandalwood paste and vermilion on the Shiva Lingam.
Rudra Homam (if applicable):- In some cases, a Rudra Homam (fire ritual) may be performed as part of the Rudrabhishek Pooja. This involves offering oblations into the sacred fire while chanting Vedic hymns.
Mantra:- "Om Namah Shivaya" and "Om Namah Rudraya".
Aarti:- Perform aarti (waving of the lighted lamp) and sing devotional songs praising Lord Shiva.
Offer your prayers and seek blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual enlightenment.
Prasad and Distribution:- Offer prasad (food offerings) to the deity and then distribute it to family members and guests.
Conclusion:- Conclude the pooja by expressing gratitude to Lord Shiva for His blessings.
Perform any additional rituals or prayers as per family tradition or personal preference.
Additional Notes
Timing:- Rudrabhishek Pooja is often performed on Mondays, especially during the auspicious month of Shravan (July-August). It can also be done on other auspicious days based on personal or family tradition.
Devotion: Perform the ritual with devotion and sincerity. The effectiveness of the pooja is believed to be enhanced by a focused and respectful attitude.

In this package Rudri path will be chanted 1 time while doing the Abhishek to Shivling and Pooja goes on for about 2 hrs.
In this package 3 pandits will be there and the Rudri path will be chanted 5 times and the Rudrabhishek is performed and Pooja goes on for 2:30-3 hours.
In this package 6 pandits will be there and the Rudri path will be chanted 11 times and the Rudrabhishekam is performed to the Shivling in a very very grand way and Pooja goes on for 4-5 hours.
