Ambaji Temple Timings During Bhadarvi Poonam and Other Festivals
During the Bhadarvi Poonam mela, the temple runs extended hours with evening darshan continuing late into the night. Other festival days, such as Poonam and special pujas, can also change the schedule. Plan extra time on these days.
What to Know Before You Visit
- No idol to look for. Ambaji is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths. The sanctum has the Shree Visa Yantra rather than an idol, and it is dressed and decorated afresh through the day.
- Peak crowds. Queues are longest around aarti times and during Navratri and Bhadarvi Poonam week.
- Dress modestly. Modest, respectful attire is expected for darshan.
- Gabbar Hill. The Gabbar hill shrine is a separate visit with its own steps and ropeway, so allow extra time if you plan to go.
