Preparation:

Clean the Space:- Ensure the area where the pooja will be conducted is clean and well-prepared.

Gather Pooja Items:- Ganesh idol or image, Kalash (sacred water pitcher), Diya (oil lamp) and incense sticks, Flowers, fruits, and sweets, Rice, turmeric powder, vermilion, and kumkum, A new cloth or saree for the deity, Water for purification

Steps for Performing Shuddhikaran Pooja

Setup the Pooja Space:- Choose a clean area for the pooja, ideally in the northeast direction of the space being purified.

- Place a clean cloth or mat on the floor or table where the pooja will be performed.

Perform Ganesh Pooja:- Light the diya and incense sticks, Place an idol or image of Lord Ganesha on the pooja platform, Offer flowers, fruits, and sweets to Lord Ganesha.

- Recite Ganesh Vandana, such as "Om Gan Ganapataye Namah", to seek his blessings for the removal of obstacles and purification.

Kalash Pooja:

Kalash Setup:- Fill the Kalash with water and place it on the altar. Decorate it with mango leaves and a coconut on top.

Prayers:- Perform the Kalash pooja to invite divine energies and seek blessings for purification and positive transformation.

Purification Rituals:

Water Purification:- Sprinkle water mixed with turmeric and/or ganga jal (holy river water) around the area or object being purified. This is believed to remove negative energies and purify the space.

Rice and Turmeric:- Offer a small amount of rice mixed with turmeric and vermilion around the area, object, or person being purified.

Main Pooja Rituals:

Offerings:- Offer additional items such as flowers and fruits to the deity or sacred objects.

Aarti:- Perform aarti (waving of the lighted lamp) while singing devotional songs or hymns.

Chanting and Prayers:- "Om Namah Shivaya" (for general purification and blessings), "Gayatri Mantra" for spiritual cleansing: "Om Bhuh, Om Bhuvaha, Om Svah, Om Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat"
